Support Groups

We invite survivors of trauma to join our S.E.L.F. group that meets every Tuesday at 5:30PM. Group members learn to manage PTSD symptoms, regulate emotions, process the losses associated with traumatic experiences, develop a personal plan for physical, psychological, social, and moral safety, and make changes to secure a better future. On site child care is provided.

Survivors of domestic violence can join The Power to Change group that meets every Friday at 6:00PM, and is open to survivors of domestic violence. Members acquire skills to free themselves from the violence, set personal boundaries, learn assertive communication and conflict resolution techniques.

We invite community members and stakeholders to join our Domestic Violence Task Force. The Sumner County Domestic Violence Task Force next meeting is Friday March 16, at 11:30 am. We meet at 3 Executive Park Drive, Hendersonville.  We will have lunch and discussion in small focus groups about developing an effective collaborative community response to domestic and sexual violence.
